CoinsGeeks Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 1, 2026
Who we are
CoinsGeeks ("CoinsGeeks," "we," "us") operates coinsgeeks.com, a cryptocurrency market data, watchlist, and portfolio-tracking website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Contact: legal@coinsgeeks.com
Legal entity: CoinsGeeks LLC, Dubai, UAE
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect the email address and password you provide, or — if you sign in with Google — your name, email address, and profile image as provided by Google. Account authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase.
Watchlist and portfolio data. If you're signed in, the coins you watch and any portfolio holdings/transactions you enter are stored against your account so they sync across devices. If you're not signed in, this same data is stored only in your browser's local storage and never reaches our servers.
Usage and analytics data. We use Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used (pages visited, general engagement). This may involve cookies or similar technologies. [If you add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tools behind GTM, list them here specifically — this section should describe what's actually firing through the tag manager, not just that a tag manager exists.]
Third-party market data. Cryptocurrency prices, market caps, and related data displayed on CoinsGeeks are sourced from CoinGecko's public API. We don't control and aren't responsible for the accuracy of this third-party data.
Advertising. CoinsGeeks displays advertising in designated ad slots. [Once an ad network/provider is actually integrated, name it here and describe what data it collects — most ad networks set their own cookies and collect device/browsing data independently of us; you're responsible for disclosing whichever one you actually use.]
How we use this information
- To provide and maintain your account, watchlist, and portfolio
- To sync your data across your devices when signed in
- To understand aggregate site usage and improve the product
- To communicate with you about your account, if needed
- [If the newsletter signup becomes functional: to send the market updates you opted into — remove this line if the newsletter form stays non-functional]
Affiliate and referral links
Some links on CoinsGeeks — including exchange "Buy" buttons on coin listings and coin detail pages — are referral/affiliate links. If you sign up or trade through one of these links, CoinsGeeks may earn a commission from the exchange. This does not cost you anything extra, and it does not influence the market data, rankings, or rating information displayed on the site. Referral relationships currently include Binance, Kraken, OKX, Bitget, and Gate.com.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you signed in), analytics (via Google Tag Manager), and — if applicable — advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality like staying signed in.
Your rights and choices
You can access, update, or delete your account and its associated watchlist/portfolio data at any time in your account settings, via the Delete my account option — this permanently deletes your watchlist, portfolio transactions, and sign-in credentials, and cannot be undone. If you're in the EU/UK or California, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, portability, objection to processing) under GDPR or CCPA respectively — contact us at legal@coinsgeeks.com to exercise these.
Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, [describe actual deletion behavior — e.g. "associated watchlist and portfolio data is deleted within X days"].
Children's privacy
CoinsGeeks is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email above.
International users
CoinsGeeks may be accessed from outside the United Arab Emirates. By using the site, you consent to your information being processed in the United Arab Emirates and [wherever your hosting/infrastructure providers actually run — Vercel and Supabase both operate multi-region, so this should name the actual region(s) your deployment uses, e.g. "the United States" or "the EU," rather than assume it matches the company's own jurisdiction].
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we do; material changes will be [described how — e.g. "announced via a site banner"].
